In House Editor

Our in house editor handles edits from all the weddings, portraits, and engagement session shot by Historia Collective Photographers. This extremely important task is handled by one person to ensure quality and consistency across our brand.


  • Required:

  • Basic knowledge of photo editing workflow including backing up files safely.

  • Advance knowledge of Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • Ability to put yo-self aside and happily put others first.

  • Self motivated and deadline driven individual.

  • Ability to artistically curate a collection of best image according to industry standards and trends.

  • Live in Grand Rapids or surrounding area. Be willing to travel to Rockford.

  • Desired:

  • Reliable computer and editing software to edit at home when necessary.

  • Enjoy working solo, but have the ability to communicate well with a team.

Lead Wedding Photographer

Lead Wedding Photographers for Historia Collective, desire to leave behind the mundane of running the business, drumming up inquiries, and social media management, but still get to do what they love, shoot weddings, and serve couples.


  • Required:

  • Have been the primary photographer for 25+ weddings.

  • Own, 2 full frame bodies, lenses to cover 35mm-200mm, multiple speed-lights and radio triggers. (any brand ok, Canon prefered)

  • Ability to put yo-self aside and happily put other’s first.

  • Leadership, and great communication skill, to lead the documentary team on any given wedding day.

  • Live in Grand Rapids or surrounding area. Be willing to travel to Rockford.

  • Comfortable client meetings before the wedding.

  • Desired:

  • Talented photographers, looking to create art, and not run a biz.

  • True to life capture of images in emotion and exposure.
    (All images will be edited in house).

Assistant Photographer

This is a great position for someone interested in learning the ropes of wedding photography to see if shooting weddings is a thing for them. 


  • Own a full frame camera and lenses ranging from 35mm-200mm.
    (any brand ok, Canon preferred).

  • Ability to put yo-self aside and happily put others first.

  • Live in Grand Rapids or surrounding area. Be willing to travel to Rockford.

  • Assistant/ 2nd shot at least 5 weddings.

  • Quick learner, flexible, and willing to do what’s needed.
    (even if it’s hold a light stand, grab a water or snack, or fluff a dress).


Our studio is located at 15 N. Main Street, Rockford Mi. We love being in the heart of this charming shopping district. We travel all across the country for weddings, but prefer to stay local for portraits and client meetings.
